Week 9
Hello,
Well, week 9 has arrived- what happened to the term? Oh well. Some truly exciting concert week notices:
MUST-ATTEND REHEARSAL: Please come along at the normal time on Wednesday for an uber important rehearsal.
ST OSWALDS CONCERT: St Oswalds Church is in Fulford, which is fairly simple to get to from campus but we recognise that it may be trickier for those who haven't been before. As a result, Schmeek (P&P + tenor, if you don't know who he is) will be meeting people at Langwith car park at 4:40pm to shepherd you to the church for our rehearsal. If you aren't coming from campus, please check out the map on the glee website or the facebook group.

Invite your friends and tell them to get there for 7:30pm. Entrance is £3, £1.50 concessions.
DRESS CODE: Wear entirely black with a coloured "feature". This may be a tie, cravat, scarf, necklace or whatever else takes your fancy, so long as it's colouful.
WEDNESDAY WEEK 10: will be an immense day for many reasons. The first is that we're performing in a care home. Woo! For this we will hope to be getting taxis from Langwith at 5:15pm, going to the home for an hour or so and then coming back for the super exciting...
ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING: at which you can stand for posts, or maybe just nominate unsuspecting members for fun (you'd be surprised how many of the committee are elected that way). There's an outline of all the posts on the website- see link below. Afterwards we shall be having a super-amazing fun party.

We might also be busking too but that hasn't been sorted yet so I'll leave that for my last (sniff) glee-mail.
Until then,

UPDATE
Hello Gleesters,
I'm afraid I've got to add/change a few things from the previous email.
FULFORD CONCERT TICKETS: Are actually £3/£1.50 concession, not free. Sorry. They usually are but this year we're in conjunction with Fulford so it's a little different.
PRE-CONCERT REHEARSAL: I forgot to specify that those who are making their own way there need to arrive at 5.15pm. Ooh yes, and bring food so you don't get hungry. There might be a prize at the aftershow party for the most interesting packed tea, so be creative!
EMAILS: If you reply to a gleemail, please send it to socs115@york.ac.uk. This way it'll go straight to my personal inbox and I will reply much faster.
AGM: Whilst writing this email I realised that as members you have a right to propose motions for the AGM. I can't think what you'd want to do but I thought I ought to let you know so that if you wanted to, you have the opportunity. Email the society about that one if you can think of something and Stu'll put it on the agenda.
Right, now, I hope that's everything. I'm sorry if it feels a little like I'm spamming you but it should all be helpful.
See you on Wednesday!
